Daniel Lee is a Master of Journalism (MJ) student at the University of Hong Kong. Born in Seoul but raised in Hong Kong, he developed a strong interest in journalism and multimedia production after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago. Prior to enrolling in HKU’s MJ program, Daniel planned on going down a more traditional corporate path and had gained some marketing experience at a large media agency in Hong Kong. However, after some inward reflection over the last few years, he decided that he wanted to pursue a meaningful career that can have a positive impact on different communities.
When he’s not attending classes or completing assignments, Daniel can often be found playing tennis with friends. He played tennis since he was six years old and frequently competed in various tournaments in Hong Kong throughout high school. During the weekend, he enjoys exploring local bars around town and trekking across Hong Kong’s iconic hiking trails.
