From the time I was very young, I was obsessed with Disney animation and stories. I have always dreamed of wearing beautiful princess dresses and travelling through Disney’s dreamy castles. My favourite film is the animated version of The Little Mermaid, and at university, I chose to study the film’s musical translation as my final project. So I guess it is fair to say that Disney has influenced my entire life.
When I was 13 years old, I visited Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time and I saw the grey castle standing right in the middle of the park. On 2 January 2018, this Dream Castle was remodeled. The park unveiled the initial concept of the castle, which will add at least 13 spires representing each of the 14 Disney Princess/Queen stories. Now, the castle was changed from grey to pink. In 2020, I visited Disneyland again and as always, I was impressed by the dreamy atmosphere.
Every time I watch Disney’s Starry Night Light Tour, the lights, lasers, fountains, fire and fireworks effects with Disney’s popular characters, stories and scores bring tears to my eyes.
