Guan Huangshenyi (Anny) is an intern journalist at the 21st Century Business Herald, based in Hong Kong, and dedicates herself to reporting news in the fields of business and technology.
Anny has lived in Australia for four years and completed her bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Queensland in 2023. Now, she is a postgraduate journalism student at HKU. She worked as a marketing and communication intern in public organisations, including Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, and Brisbane City Council. Significantly, she has successfully published an entry-level employment booklet for ABC with her team members in 2023.
In her overseas study journey, Anny won the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence 2022, the 2022 Ossie Award (Best Data Journalism by an Undergraduate or Postgraduate Student, Highly Commended Award), and the 2023 UQ International Onshore Merit Scholarship. For her future career pathway, she is striving to improve her personal worldview and recognition of high-attention news events around the world in order to be adequately prepared to be an extraordinary financial journalist.
