Valerie graduated with a BA in Translation and Interpreting. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism at Hong Kong University.
Her professional journey began at Shanghai Daily, where she refined her reporting skills, contributing to the publication’s commitment to delivering insightful news. Transitioning to Phoenix Group, Valerie immersed herself in the fast-paced environment, gaining a comprehensive understanding of media dynamics. Her tenure at Hill and Knowlton Strategies further enhanced her skill set, providing a unique perspective on strategic communications in the media industry.
Beyond the confines of her professional life, Valerie finds solace in the exhilarating world of skiing and the serene practice of yoga. These pursuits serve as wellsprings of inspiration for her work in journalism.
On a personal note, Valerie takes great pride in being a devoted cat mom to Amber. This feline companion, named Amber, has become an integral part of Valerie’s life, fostering empathy and compassion and solidifying her commitment to animal welfare.
