Veronica Lin is a dedicated journalist with over a decade of experience writing and presenting for companies such as CNN, SCMP, The Telegraph, Shenzhen Daily, and TVB. Driven by curiosity about the world from a young age, she naturally gravitated towards journalism. One of the most memorable stories she recounts is when she interviewed a sex worker and discovered that everything the worker did was for her son, which completely reshaped Veronica’s perspective of the industry. At the age of nineteen, she reached out and conducted an exclusive interview with Greta Thunberg. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “It was really hard to secure an interview with her”. Veronica had been contacting Thunberg’s parents and managers for over three months, writing a total of 62 emails, each spanning over 2,000 words. When her hard work finally paid off, she felt “euphoric” as if she was “on top of the world”. Veronica’s dedicated and hardworking personality extends beyond her professional life. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, while she was able to teach herself French. Likewise, after years of training, she achieved certification as a ski instructor. She enjoys the freedom associated with skiing, as it allows her to leave her troubles behind and live in the moment.
