Veronica Lin was born and raised in Shenzhen, China. She began performing at the age of 3, and was signed to a TV station at the age of 7. At 9, she began writing for a local newspaper called Shenzhen Daily, and subsequently joined the South China Morning Post Young Post at 12. Her bylines include CNN, SCMP, Telegraph, Le Petit Journal, Yahoo!, and more.

At the age of 13, Veronica traveled to the US and met her then-idol Taylor Swift backstage at one of her RED concerts. Her then 13-year-old self managed to convince Taylor’s parents that she was going to help his daughter organize a few concerts in China. Mr.Swift then gave Veronica his business card and the rest was history.

Before the pandemic hit, Veronica was fortunate enough to have been invited to attend the 2019 MTV European Music Awards, where she met a number of celebrities, including actor and host Terry Crews.

Whilst working at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, Veronica was sent on a mission to get a selfie with U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Copenhagen, Denmark. She managed to chase Ocasio-Cortez down on a scooter, and pretended to be a photographer and snuck into the venue to take a photo with her.

Tom Odell is one of Veronica’s favorite singers. Right before his concert in Hong Kong, Veronica had the great privilege of interviewing him. She asked him questions about his songwriting process, how to overcome writer’s block and so forth.
