Fiona Song Yuge
Fiona Song Yuge is a current student in the Master program of Journalism at the University of Hong Kong.
Fiona is from Jinan, Shandong Province in Mainland China. She stayed in Jinan until high school and headed to the United States for undergraduate study. Graduated from New York University, Fiona earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Media, Culture, and Communications with a minor in Film Production. During college, except for doing a wide range of media related theoretical topics research and papers, Fiona wrote long and short scripts, produced, directed, and shot several short films with crew members in New York.
Fiona has varied personality and wide range of hobbies, and she’s always thrilled to try new things, study unknown new fields, and meet new people. Fiona has danced for more than ten years, ranging from classical Chinese dance to ballet and Latin, etc. She loves reading books (literature, philosophy, art, sociology, and philosophy, etc.), watching movies (Eric Rohmer, Ang Lee, Wang Kar Wai, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, Bernardo Bertolucci, Jean-Pierre Melville, Sang-soo Hong, etc.), and writing (screenplay, fiction stories). She loves traveling and doing sports, including extreme sports.
Fiona hates works, though had tried interns in various fields, such as anchor in Radio or TV station, journalist, and staff in art gallery or auction house. Her dream is to be an online worker or a freelancer in the future, writing her own books, filming wanted stories, while traveling and sojourning in new countries to keep changing and experiencing different cultures.
