According to GOV.OPEN.HK, In 2024, Hong Kong’s hotel occupancy rates reveal seasonal and regional trends. Tourism-heavy areas like Yau Ma Tei/Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui show consistently high occupancy, peaking in August at 96% and 92%, respectively. Other key areas, such as Central/Western and Wan Chai, maintain stable rates around 76-85%, with slight increases in summer months. The New Territories and other Kowloon areas also peak around 93-94% in August. In contrast, Island area occupancy is lower, reaching only 79% at its peak. This data suggests high summer demand across most regions, reflecting tourism’s influence on the hotel market.
