Hong Kong's Plastic Export Has Been Reduced
As Hong Kong favours a culture of disposables and overpackaging, a large amount of plastic waste is generated annually. Unsustainable disposable plastic packaging is very common among citizens, as it remains the largest available option in the market. Realizing the urgent demand to address the city’s plastic footprint, Hong Kong has been trying different attempts, from the new plastic ban in April to the reduced plastic export amount, showing its strong ambition to address plastic pollution.
