Four years ago, feeling that English was her strength, she decided to major in translation as her undergraduate studies. Although she didn’t know for sure whether she would really like this major and pursue a career in translation in the future, her instinct told her that it would never be a bad choice to let her strengths shine.
During her undergraduate studies, English debates and various translation practices opened her eyes to the diversity of the world and the power of the media. The seed of a career in the media industry gradually germinated and grew in her heart.
During the Asian Games, she worked in the Main Press Center as a liaison interpreter for the English commentator team, where she witnessed journalists from all over the world spreading the grandeur of Asian Games to every corner of the world through the medium of news. There she envied and longed for them, and secretly decided that she wanted to be one of them in the future.
After that, she engaged in content related internships, such as being content operator intern in a fast fashion company, and running foreign trade accounts with over a million of overseas followers, in order to hone her writing skills and creativity, and get closer to what she wants to be.
Now on the platform of HKU, she continues to explore her interests and potentials, and strives to become a better version of herself.
