Yiting Wang
Hello, I’m Yiting Wang, also known as Vivian. I’m 24, born and raised in Northern China. I love playing tennis, food hunting, and traveling.
My high school experience was transformative in Australia. I had a diverse curriculum to study, which included woodwork, visual art, new media, and modern history. This academic exposure to news media laid the foundation for my future studies in communication.
In 2021, I joined UQ to study digital media and public relations. It was challenging but rewarding, as I gained multimedia, stakeholder engagement, and campaign development skills. My passion for journalism began with an elective course on news reporting, which deepened my connection to the field. This field of study interprets the world, bringing distant events into our lives, and highlighting their societal impact.
So far, after a semester of study at HKU, I am interested in becoming an interview journalist in the future, to be able to connect with people globally, hear their stories, and share meaningful information with a broad audience.
