Chang Yuqi is currently a postgraduate student in journalism at the University of Hong Kong. She studied journalism as an undergraduate at East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai, which is famous as “the Oriental Pearl of law”. Therefore, She also received a lot of legal education, such as taking courses in intellectual property law, media law and criminal law, which also helped her a lot in the study of journalism and deepened her understanding of society. Her undergraduate training in journalism empowers her with the ability to promote, disseminate, and publicize socially deserving topics. And the more she learned about journalism, the more interested she became in it.

Her practices in and out of the classroom further convince her to pursue a career in journalism. Out of campus, She started her media internship as a new media operation at a court because of law-related course learning during her undergraduate period. After that, she got a valuable opportunity to work as a content operation intern at an Internet company.

She was born and raised in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, an inland city in the northern part of China, which is renowned for its long history of more than 5000 years. Growing up in such a strong historical and cultural atmosphere, she is also very fond of art and culture.
