Charlotte Lam is a journalism graduate from Hong Kong Baptist University. She is currently 22 years old.
During her time at HKBU, she gained hands-on experience by working with The Young Reporter (TYR). She worked to both spot news and feature stories. She also collaborated with a team to cover significant events like the Policy and Budget Address.
Besides, Charlotte interned at SCMP Style, which focused on luxury brands, celebrity fashion, and trends. She also published more than 10 stories which deepened her understanding of the fast-paced media industry.
Moreover, Charlotte is also interning at the Standard, which will end in February. She learned many hands-on experiences with hard news and published about 20 news stories. The Standard provided her with different chances to write hard news, making her more confident to be a professional journalist in the future.
Charlotte is interested in exploring specific topics and uncovering the underlying issues that shape our society. For instance, her degree honors project involved investigating the injury and death rates among workers and engineers on construction sites by using WIX.
As for her hobbies, Charlotte likes playing video and mobile games like Mario Kart and PUBG. If you like these games, please come to explore with her!
