The Arctic Pavilion, also known as Zhenwu Temple or Beiji Temple, is one of the important historical sites in the Daming Lake Scenic Area in Jinan, located on the north bank of Daming Lake. It was first built in the 17th year of the Yuan Dynasty Emperor Shizu’s reign (1280 AD), and it is currently the largest existing Taoist temple in Jinan city.

The Arctic Pavilion stands atop a temple platform, the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains is all in sight, carrying the memories and joys of generations of Jinan locals. In Jinan, from the elderly to children, everyone has visited this stone slide during their childhood. 740 years is just a moment in history, but for the people of Jinan, the two stone slides in front of the Arctic Pavilion in the Daming Lake Scenic Area have become an eternal memory.
