Rachel is currently a full-time student in the Master of Journalism programme at the University of Hong Kong.

She began her journey by participating in the Solar Project held by Radio Television Hong Kong Radio 2, which provided her the opportunity to attend sharing sessions with radio hosts and produce a radio program.

Rachel later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, and started her career as a reporter at a Chinese-language free daily newspaper in 2023.

She has been covering news stories on different local news and events, including the “Three-Runway System 10km International Race,” the follow-up on the fire that broke out in the Wah Fung Building in Jordan, and the latest change in “1+” mechanism as it has been extended to all new drugs to be approved for registration in Hong Kong.

Before joining the MJ programme, Rachel had also published reports on Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, writing features articles on Mainland China from 2023 to 2024.

I can’t precisely recall when it began, but a black and white cat started appearing in and outside of the Chinese medicine store near my home.

Since then, I meet this particular cat almost twice a day, and it seems to prefer staying at the exact same spot each day.
