Xiao Chang, Althea, 23, is from Danyang, a small county in Jiangsu Province.
Xiao majored in journalism at the Communication University of China and is now pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at the University of Hong Kong, JMSC.
Inspired by Chai Jing’s book “Insight,” she recognized the media’s influential role in society. During her time at CUC, she participated in various reporting activities and interned at top Internet companies like Bytedance and iQiyi, refining her journalistic skills.
Despite her solid foundation in journalism, Xiao aims to enhance her reporting abilities through advanced studies at HKU, with a focus on exploring issues from detailed perspectives. With a keen interest in interview communication and multimedia production, she aspires to excel in the dynamic media landscape.
