Chloe started her journalism career as a freshman at the University of New Mexico, working for the New Mexico Daily Lobo. While working for the student paper, Chloe got valuable practice reporting on topics ranging from police brutality in Albuquerque to elections for the undergraduate student council at UNM. After graduating with a degree in economics, Chloe worked for six years with the Climate Justice Alliance, an organization that works with communities impacted by climate change and environmental issues in the U.S., Guam and Puerto Rico. She held multiple roles at that organization, working on communications, digital organizing, membership engagement and regional infrastructure building. During her time with CJA she was able to travel all over the continental U.S. and occasionally internationally, meeting with communities and learning about the direct impacts of different political, economic and social issues.
Chloe is now in the process of wrapping up her incredible journey with CJA and pursuing a Masters in Journalism at the University of Hong Kong. She is interested in sharpening her writing skills, as well as cultivating knowledge around video and photo journalism. Chloe was born and raised in New Mexico, U.S.A. and lived in Oklahoma before moving out to Hong Kong to attend school. Her other part time work has included being a peer instructor in journalistic writing for undergraduates at UNM and working as a line cook in various restaurants and breweries throughout the states.
