Stephenie Gee was born and raised in Hong Kong, where she graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a Diploma and Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. Having minored in Art and Design for her BTEC Diploma, she has had experience in the education sector in both the performing and visual arts disciplines. In addition, Stephenie also has choreography and extensive performance experience as a professional contemporary and ballet dancer.
Stephenie is a committed and self-motivated individual with a strong passion for the arts and writing. After sustaining an assortment of injuries that limited her abilities as a professional dancer, she decided to step out of her comfort zone and pursue a Master of Journalism at The University of Hong Kong. Especially with the increasing importance of journalism and media becoming more prominent during recent years on a global scale, Stephenie wishes to build a broader perspective and insight on the two industries. She hopes to learn about the journalism industry, master the craft of writing, and acquire the skill sets required for a 21st century journalist. With these various tools and techniques, Stephenie aspires to launch a career in journalism and media, and implement her knowledge in the arts to help with the promotion and advancement of the local arts and culture scene.
In her spare time, Stephenie enjoys planning for her next vacation, playing a game of snooker, or catching up with friends over dinner and drinks.
