Lynne Li joined JMSC (Journalism & Media Studies Centre) at the University of Hong Kong as a postgraduate student in 2021.
Before that, she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from South China Normal University in the same year.  She has substantial experience working in print media (Yangcheng Evening News, SCNU school news agency) and new media (Net Ease) fields. From 2018 to 2019, Lynne participated in an exchange program with the University of Missouri-St. Louis and decided to continue her journalism study outside of Mainland China. Now, Lynne is living in Hong Kong, a city full of stories.

Based on above-mentioned experience, Lynne specialized her skills in news writing and news photography. Her works have won several prizes such as the 5th China Data Journalism Competition, 5th National College Student Online Editing Innovation Competition, and so on. She also had a piece of work published on The Current (the school newspaper of University of Missouri-St. Louis). These approvals brought her greater passion and courage to continue story hunting and telling.

Additionally, Lynne has sufficient English/Chinese speaking and writing skills to complete the production of news. And she has strong passion towards photography, documentary filming and appreciation. The topics of music, literature, and China are where her interests lie. Lynne also loves reading contemporary literature and these works affect her writing style. Her various experience living in different cultural environment also gives her a broader horizon to observe the society and to tell stories with open perspectives.
