Cao Dandan earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Beijing Foreign Studies University. With more than three years of work experience in NetEase after graduation, she is proficient in interviewing, anchoring, and producing live broadcasting programs.

As an anchor, she conducted interviews with economists, experts, entrepreneurs, professors, celebrities in fields of finance, technology, education, health, and entertainment. She was also the host of important summits, meetings, and awards ceremonies in NetEase. She hosted for Future Technology Summit held by NetEase and Hangzhou Government and the Economist Summit held by the NetEase finance channel.

As a producer, She produced 3 live programs on news, culture, and entertainment separately. In 2019, she participated in producing documentaries on the life and struggle of common people through the history of The People’s Republic of China. This experience made her realized her passion for telling profound stories related to people which also convince her to devote her whole life to tell good stories of people until she made it. In 2020, she had a new identity of bisexual which also give her a new angle on the world.

She had two part-time job experiences as a radio anchor at QQ music radio conducting interviews with musicians and the sales anchor in Tiktok. 

Now, she is pursuing a master’s in journalism at Hongkong University. She is determined to sharpen her skills in interviewing and shooting documentaries to prepare for telling good stories in the future especially focus on the angle of gender.
