On the morning of September 11th 2001, the United States of America experienced the worst terrorist attack on their own soil.
Four planes – hijacked and turned into weapons of mass destruction by terrorists from Al-Qaeda – crashed. Two on The World Trade Center (NYC), one on The Pentagon (Arlington) and one in a farmfield (Shanksville).
Sitting in front of their television, citizens around the world witness this terrible spectacle in real-time.
US authorities estimate today that these attacks killed more than 3,000 people and injured approximately more than 20,000 others.
Today everyone still remembers the terrible videos footages of the collapse of the World Trade Center. On the other hand, rare are those who know how the chief of staff of the White House – Andy Card – alerted the president of the United States of the attack.
