Sham Shui Po is situated in the northwestern part of the Kowloon Peninsula, Hong Kong. With a diverse mix of migrants, it is considered to be one of the densest and most vibrant neighborhoods in Hong Kong. There are many lively street markets, electronics outlets, fabric stores, restaurants, and food vendors, and it has been famous for Golden Computer Shopping Arcade for bargain electronics and accessories.
I went to Sham Shui Po District last Sunday, 19 September, to conduct an interview. When everything was done, I went out of the interviewing spot and found it was raining heavily outside. I had no choice but randomly choose a shop to take shelter. Beyond expectation, there I encountered Mr. Ching and Khan, who were bargaining in this second-hand shop called YONG DA HONG.
The following pictures show this interesting story on this rainy night in Sham Shui Po.

Mr. Ching runs an online business of selling garage kits. He usually buys the toys at the second-hand shop in a rather low price, and then sells them at a higher price with his online business to make a profit. (Source: Meredith CHEN)
After 10 minutes of bargaining, the deal was finally made. Mr Ching was putting his new “trophy” into his big shopping bag with satisfaction. (Source: Meredith CHEN)

Mr. Ching has a wise strategy to bargain. He was pointing out the flaws of the model to lower the exchange price as much as possible. (Source: Meredith CHEN)
It was a tough war. Khan, the salesperson from Pakistan, insisted on proving to Mr. Ching how high-quality their goods were. He was trying to install all the components on the toy. (Source: Meredith CHEN)
Finally, Khan finished his work. He lifted the model up to present it to Mr. Ching. This final deal was then achieved. Mr. Ching left with all the products he bought tonight. (Source: Meredith CHEN)
