The Perils of Cross-border Students
Overcoming the hardships of COVID-19

By Shiyu Huang & Stephy Zhang

This February, the border between Hong Kong and mainland China finally reopened, and cross-border students were able to resume their in-class studies. During the three long years of Covid, cross-border students in Shenzhen were blocked from entering Hong Kong and could only attend school online. We also spoke to service coordinator, Torres Lee, about how his organization helps cross-border students cope and succeed in this unique environment.
