Christine Du started her journalism study when she was a freshman at the Communication University of Zhejiang. At that time, because her major was broadcast and television journalism, her focused on TV news production most of the time.
Outside the school, Christine did several internships in municipal and state media organizations. In 2019, she had an internship in CCTV which totally made her decided to be a journalist. At there, all the journalist were well-skilled, they were good at interviewing, shooting and editing, also they were full of passion about news production, I just want to be journalist like them.
In the first half of 2021, Christine had an internship in Xinhua News Agency. There, she had many chance to approach people from different background. Most of the time they were famous people and celebrities in political and economic areas. She maybe not enhance her reporting skills a lot in Xinhua News Agency, but her horizons did broadened. Just as her predecessors said: “As a journalist you may not earn a lot, but you can receive many respects.”
Christine now is pursuing a master degree in journalism at the University of Hongkong. She is willing to know how to tell story in a different way, how international media organization report news, how is it different from China state media outlets. She want to be a journalist in state media organizations and tell Chinese story to the world in furture.
