Lai Mengping

Lai Mengping, a student of postgraduate programme of journalism in the journalism and media studies center. before entering Hong Kong, she got a bachelor degree of Arts from Shaanxi Normal University.

During bachelor study, she tried to step the first step in journalism world. She sought two internships in Guangzhou Daily and 21st century business herald in 2019 and 2020 relatively. During working as intern in Guangzhou Daily, she involved in producing the 2020 Guangzhou Government Financial Report Data Visualization Brochure and helped with planning and organizing  the Guangzhou New Year~Flower Viewing project.

And when she was working in the 21st century business herald, with the lead of supervisor Tang Wei Ke, she assisted in completing the daily releases and in-depth reports in the field of industry. She wrote reports in different fields, especially focused on medicine and local economic development and published some articles such as In-depth/Over-capacity against COVID-19,How Can Public Hospitals Get Rid of Triangle Debts,Scope/19.6%!Immunology Expert Ju Liya Reveals the World’s Highest Fatality Rate of COVID-19 in Finance,MICE Economy in the Greater Bay Area against COVID-19:Can Digitalization Solve the Burning Issue? on the platform of the 21st century business herald.These experiences in digging out and telling stories made her more passionate on writing and determine to be a journalist who observe and record the true vicissitudes of the world in her future career.

If it is possible, she hope to spark her career as a business or sports journalist in the media like Pheonix Satellite,SCMP, CGTN in mainland of China or HKSAR, recording and showing the true changes and developments of Chinese social fabric.
